Trans Canada West

We have arrived in Vancouver and are nicely settled into our new and temporary living situation – more on this in our next entry. Though we realize this blog is long over due, we still feel its relevant to show the full road trip. The last section of the drive was by far the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen – and I’ve been to Switzerland. All the way from Badlands up to the Black Hills and through the rolling prairies of the Wild West looking out our car window was breathtaking.

However, nothing can compare to the Trans Canada West. Driving down this winding road, the feeling of being alive is absolutely present. There is this overwhelming sensation that travels so powerfully through your veins, that makes your knees weak and finger tips tingle. We were so entranced by our surroundings that we drove straight through because we didn’t want to stop, we though as long as we could chase the sun it was worthwhile to keep going. Needless to say, I napped not once during this drive. It is mostly a waste of time to try to convey the magnificent beauty that exists along this stretch of land – really pictures won’t even do it justice. But for now – and forever until you yourselves visit – they will have to do.
