Enferma en Costa Rica

As most travelers know and as we have come to find out, if you are traveling in a foreign country for an extended period of time chances are that you are going to get sick. There are precautions that you can take but once it happens, you can’t do much but wait it out.

Overnight Carling broke out with a fever and sore muscles. Having gone through the same thing last week I knew how she was feeling. This also meant that we had to cancel our surf lessons. We just spent the day relaxing in our room and I did some reading in the hammock beside the pool. In the late afternoon Carling was feeling back to normal, so we went for a walk to the town and got some fresh fruit smoothies. Nothing better than juice jam packed with vitamins to ease a sickness.

Then in the evening we cooked a nice pasta dinner and enjoyed a beautiful Costa Rican sunset by the pool. Tomorrow at 11:00 is our second attempt at our first surf lesson. Wish us luck!
